At-Home Lab Testing: Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about Heyday at-home lab testing — what is tested, how collection works, accuracy, and what your results mean.

What does the Heyday Kit test?

The Heyday Kit tests 40+ biomarkers including total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, estradiol, LH, FSH, CBC, metabolic panel, thyroid (TSH), PSA, and lipid panel. It provides a comprehensive picture of your hormonal and metabolic health.

How does at-home collection work?

The kit uses a simple arm-based blood draw device — not a finger prick. Follow the included instructions, pack your sample in the prepaid envelope, and drop it in the mail. Results are available in 5-7 business days.

Are at-home lab results accurate?

Yes. Heyday uses CLIA-certified partner laboratories that meet the same quality standards as hospital labs. The arm-based collection method produces lab-grade results equivalent to an in-office blood draw.

When should I collect my sample?

Always collect in the morning, ideally before 10am, when testosterone levels peak. Fasting is not required for testosterone testing but is recommended for metabolic panel accuracy.

What if I already have recent labs?

If you have labs from within the past 90 days (or 180 days if already on TRT), you can upload them and skip the kit. Your provider will review your existing results.

How much does the lab kit cost?

The Heyday Kit costs $129 as a standalone purchase. It is included free with the annual TRT plan ($99/month).

Who reviews my results?

A licensed Heyday physician personally reviews every lab panel. They analyze all markers — not just total testosterone — and design a personalized treatment recommendation based on your complete picture.

What happens after I get results?

Your provider schedules a private telehealth consultation to discuss your results, explain what the numbers mean, and recommend next steps — whether that is treatment, lifestyle changes, or further evaluation.
